National ACS Awards
One of the duties
of the Section's Awards Committee is to seek out deserving nominees
for any of the many
awards given by the National ACS.
While there is no likelihood of nationally well-known chemists or chemical
engineers being overlooked for appropriate awards, there may be many deserving
scientists who are in the process of establishing their reputation who might
well be overlooked unless brought to our attention from within the Section.
Therefore, the Awards Committee is urging members to present the names of potential
recipients of ACS Awards.
It is not necessary to specify the name of the Award - there are many in different
fields and for different accomplishments among the numerous ACS awards. The
Section Awards Committee will be happy to locate a suitable award and carry
the nominating process forward.
Names and supporting materials can be submitted either directly to the chair
of the Awards Committee (mdube@nyelubricants.com) or to the Section office.
