Research Associate- BioAnalytical

Idenix Pharmaceuticals


Research Associate for our DMPK & BioAnalytics group to investigate characteristics of novel small molecules. The candidate should have experience in the quantification of small molecule drugs in biological matrices using LC-MS/MS. The candidate will work with a multi disciplinary team of scientists and contribute to preclinical pharmacokinetic and metabolism studies with bioanalytical support through routine sample analysis and method development.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine sample analysis and results reporting
  • Development and validation of LC-MS/MS methods to quantify a broad range of analytes from a variety of biological samples
  • Provide general analytical support using LC-UV methodology
  • Routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience the analysis of biological samples in support of pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism with LC-MS/MS and a solid understanding of chromatographic techniques, sample extraction methodology and mass spectrometry. BS/MS in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry or a related discipline. 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing and executing quantitative bioanalytical methods for small molecules. Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and oral, and problem solving skills are required. Familiarity with PK data analysis, metabolite structure elucidation, tissue sample analysis, GLP environment, and drug formulation development are preferred.
