On behalf of the ChemLuminary Planning Committee, it is my pleasure
to inform you that the Northeastern Local Section has been selected
as a finalist for the following ChemLuminary Award(s):

a Specific Audience
- Committee on Local Section Activities--Best Activity or
Program in a Local Section Stimulating Membership Involvement
- Committee on Local Section Activities--Outstanding Performance
by a Local Section Very Large Size Category
- Younger Chemists Committee--Outstanding or Creative Local
Section Younger Chemists Committee Event
Recipients will be announced and the presentation of awards will
occur at the 236th ACS National Meeting in Philadelphia, PA on
Tuesday, August 19, at the Pennsylvania Convention
Center– Ballroom
113 A-C. The presentations will include awards given by 15 committees
of the Society.
Prior to the ceremony there will be a one-hour poster session
in the foyer of Ballroom 113. Your local section/division is invited
to present a poster of the 2007 activities that led to its selection
as a finalist. The poster should not
be larger than 4’ high
X 6’ wide. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR POSTER DOES NOT EXCEED
THIS SIZE AS WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE LARGER POSTERS. Those nominated
for more than one award are asked to present a single poster representing
all activities.
Your participation is encouraged so that other local sections
and divisions may see examples of outstanding activities and have
the opportunity to ask questions about the activities.

program book or onsite presentations.
