The GWB2026 NESACS Edition will be held on February 10, 2026, in association with the U.N. Day of Women and Girls in Science. The GWB series aims to build a vibrant network transcending genders, dedicated to dismantling barriers to equality in science. The theme for GWB2026 is “Many Voices, one Science,” seeking to foster collaboration and inclusivity among scientists from diverse disciplines.
As the name suggests, this is a global event and our goal is to bring together students, trainees, and researchers from academia and industry to provide a singular opportunity to celebrate all that women and historically marginalized groups have achieved in STEM. It is important to note that this event is not just for women or researchers from historically marginalized groups, but also for ally’s and supporters of these researchers in the chemical sciences.

In 2025, IUPAC’s GWB connected 449 events across 78 countries. Supporting the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, “The Breakfast” fosters a global network to break barriers to gender equality in science. Over the past seven years, nearly 2,500 GWB events have united participants from 100 countries.
