- The 27th presentation of the Gustavus J. Esselen Award for Chemistry in the Public Interest took place at the Mallinckrodt Chemistry Building at Harvard University. Here the program is displayed on the grand piano of the Harvard Faculty Club at the reception preceding the award presentation.
