We invite you to join the Northeastern Section of the American Chemical Society (NESACS) and to get involved: attend a NESACS monthly meeting or symposium, find your niche and join a committee, participate in outreach activities, and network with this wonderful community.

Did you know that if you are a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) who lives in the geographic area of NESACS, that you are automatically a NESACS member?

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about NESACS membership.

How do I become an ACS member?

Join ACS using the ACS membership application form. Learn more about member benefits, membership options, dues, and more here.

If I am an ACS member who lives outside of the NESACS geographic area, how may I become a NESACS member?

To change your local section affiliation, please contact ACS Member Services by email at service@acs.org or at 1-800-333-9511.

I have recently relocated and now live within the NESACS geographic area. How do I officially become a NESACS member?

Update your primary mailing address in your ACS member profile at acs.org.

Am I required to pay NESACS dues in order to be a NESACS member?

No. However, we would appreciate your payment of local section dues in order to help support the many activities of our local section.

What does it mean to be a full ACS member, student member, or affiliate?

Please see the information shared here by the NESACS Membership Committee.

What volunteer opportunities are available?

We have many exciting Volunteer Opportunities: please see here. Additional questions? Please reach out to any NESACS leader (find contact information here) to learn more.
