NEACT accepting proposals for their annual summer conference
The New England Association of Chemistry Teachers (NEACT) is planning its Annual Summer Conference to be held on August 1 & 2, 2023 at Fitchburg State University. As you may know, NEACT was founded in 1898 by a group of high school and college faculty here in MA and has been serving the chemistry teaching community ever since.
NEACT is currently accepting proposals for the annual summer conference.
We are interested in proposals for presentations on any aspect of chemistry education, with an emphasis on supporting diverse student needs, hands-on learning activities, and real world applications. Presentations can be a talk, workshop or lab activity that could be beneficial to middle and high school chemistry teachers as well as college faculty. Chemistry educators at all levels–middle school, high school and university–are encouraged to present.
Proposals can be submitted online at https://forms.gle/9ZDyx7izbeNupQvX8.

Plan to attend this event
Featured will be 2 days of presentations and workshops. NEACT is certified by RI, Massachusetts and other New England states to be a provider of PDPs. Overnight accommodations will be available on campus. Monday night will include a banquet and presentation of the John A. Timm Award. The total charges for all activities, a conference t shirt, accommodations and meals will be less than $300. Attendees may also attend part of the conference and chose to commute at a lower cost. Scholarships are available. NEACT accepts purchase orders from all school departments. Electronic payments are accepted through the NEACT website.
A registration form and scholarship application will be available online later in the spring.
