The ACS Women Chemists Committee introduces the “Pfizer Emergent Leader Award” which
recognizes eight women (both cis and trans) and persons assigned female at birth (AFAB), in
the second year and above of their graduate studies or undertaking post-doctoral research.
The applicants must perform research in the areas of organic chemistry, synthetic methodology, total
synthesis, medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry and chemical biology.
Winners of this award will present their research at an awards symposium during the ACS Spring 2025
Meeting, be given a $1,500 stipend to cover travel expenses, and be recognized at the WCC
Luncheon and Just Cocktails Reception.
